The Municipal Waste Management Centre (MWMC) in Vinnytsia has officially extended its working schedule and now operates daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The decision was made to provide residents with more convenient access to waste sorting and recycling services and to encourage greater public participation in sustainable waste management.

Established in July 2025 as part of the Waste Management Plan of the Vinnytsia Urban Territorial Community and the city’s Green Course, the centre accepts more than ten categories of waste, including furniture, household appliances, clothing, batteries, expired medicines, glass, plastic, paper, green waste, and construction debris. Many reusable items, such as clothing, toys, and household equipment, are also made available for a second life through community reuse initiatives.

Since its opening, the centre has welcomed more than 8,800 visitors and collected significant amounts of recyclable materials, including nearly half a tonne of used batteries, 1,100 kilograms of glass, almost one tonne of paper waste, and hundreds of cubic metres of green and construction waste. The initiative reduces pressure on landfills, conserves natural resources, and supports the transition toward a circular economy and sustainable urban development in Vinnytsia.
