Yesterday our soccer team did something that almost never happens: we drew 0–0… and we celebrated anyway.
The match against the Marconi Institute was really tough. They’re strong; we’re… a little less organized. But yesterday we played like a real team.
Our goalkeeper, Davide, saved practically everything; at one point it was like he had a magnet in his gloves. And even though we didn’t score, nobody got angry: we ran, we helped each other, we never gave up for a single minute.
In the end the coach told us, “Today you won something more important than goals: you won as a group.”
And he was right. Sometimes the result isn’t everything, and yesterday we truly understood that.
