Following a combined attack on Kyiv on 17 June 2025, air quality across the city remained generally within acceptable standards, although localized deterioration was recorded in areas affected by fires and smoke. According to the Department of Environmental Protection and Climate Adaptation of the Kyiv City State Administration, pollution levels varied significantly between districts.

On the right bank of the city, air quality remained mostly low in pollution, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) ranging from 23 to 33, and stable radiation levels within normal limits. On the left bank, however, moderate pollution was recorded, particularly in the Darnytskyi district, where AQI reached up to 80 due to increased concentrations of fine particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10) caused by post-strike fires. Radiation levels across the city remained stable.

City monitoring platforms reported generally satisfactory conditions across most districts but advised caution in areas with elevated pollution levels. Residents, especially those with respiratory or cardiovascular conditions, were recommended to limit outdoor activity, keep windows closed, stay hydrated, and use air purifiers where available until conditions stabilize.
